Colabor LP, founded in 1962, is an integrated food marketing and distribution network operating in Quebec, Atlantic Canada and Ontario.

Colabor LP is a limited partnership held by a trust. The company proceeded with an initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange in June 2005, when the Colabor Income Fund was created (TSX: CLB.UN) and eventually be converted into a corporation Colabor Group Inc. in Agust 2009 (TSX : GCL). Colabor does not have direct customers. It warehouses food products that it supplies exclusively to wholesalers, some of which are shareholders in the company.

In their turn, these wholesalers distribute to three types of customers:
  • Retail: convenience stores, grocery stores, independent markets
  • Food services: cafeterias of various institutions, restaurants, hotels
  • National accounts: service-station convenience stores, fast-food chains

Colabor distributes a total of about 35,000 products from 550 suppliers and manufacturers to more than 25,000 points of sale.

In collaboration with its wholesalers, Colabor offers complete banner programs for retail food businesses. The banner programs offer affiliated retailers signage, store décor, and uniforms, as well as profitable marketing services and a number of other services essential to effective retail management.
